Who am I?
My name is Camille Vibert. I am a 26-year-old Canadian living with Type 1 diabetes. I am a sports enthusiast, an avid traveller, and for the past five years, I have been fortunate enough to call several different places around the world home.
I graduated from McGill University in 2022 with a degree in Psychology. Since then, I have been coaching alpine skiing, working with teams and athletes around the world. This lifestyle has taken me far from home and placed me in constantly changing environments, each bringing new adventures, challenges, and experiences.
Along the way, I have learned—and continue to learn—how to manage my diabetes while navigating the many stressors that come with an active and unconventional lifestyle. Through these experiences, I have developed confidence in my ability to manage my blood sugar safely and independently, even while travelling, training, working, and living abroad.
I love adventure. I love taking on new challenges, discovering new places, and immersing myself in different cultures and environments. Type 1 diabetes is something I carry with me through all of it, but it has not stopped me from building the life I dreamed of.
